Spidermuriel
Spiderwoman in greek Mythology
Arachne in Greek mythology, was a princess who was gifted in the art of weaving. She became quite arrogant about her superior skills. She started to proclaiming herself to be far more superior to even Athena. Athens transformed Arachne into a SPIDER. She proclaiming that Arachne and all her descendants would henceforth hang forever from threads and be skillful weavers.
What does this mean to Muriel? Weaving is an art that is considered very feminine throughout history we see a constant connection between spider and woman. Why does the power of weaving make us an insect? As well thread is always connected with out fates. The American Indians believe that a spider woman threads our lives together as well as cut our thread. I wish I was my own spider making my own spider web, controlling every thread.
